The Twitter story that engaged me was Macauley's story about Nantucket. Right away, he introduces the story quickly but well. He explains where Nantucket is and his background with it o I began reading fully understanding his connection. The story engaged me because with each addition Tweet, he gave another piece of information away until he got to the part that said they were running around outside with the animals and "heard a huge band" this is the height of suspense and they way it was phrased keeps the story interesting and made me want to read more. The ending where he reveals that the noise was the cook cutting off the heads of the chickens was told in a way that shocked the reader and it brings the narrative to a close nicely by making it suspenseful and revealing the height of suspension. This story engaged me because as a reader that has never had this experience or one even similar, it is explained well and in a way that is understandable and interesting. It stood out because as i was reading it, it made me want to keep going and find out what was happening. Each tweet contained just enough information to keep the story entertaining but not too long and informative. This story was the perfect one to chose for a Twitter genre because it can be told with a limited amount of words and can easily be summarized but kept entertaining and suspenseful. The way it was composed also gives the reader just enough imagery that they can create the story in their head and add their own details and interpretations as they are reading it. Overall, this story was put into a Twitter form very well and it a perfect example of how stories can be made short and entertain the viewer through telling a dramatic story, just as a good narrative should.
